How Should I Pay for a Mover?
One of the most frequent questions asked during the moving process is “how does the moving payment work?” So today, we’re bringing you the short-and-sweet rundown on moving payment, so you can know what to expect and have one less thing to worry about during the relocation process. Knowing how you should pay for a mover should be the last thing on your mind on moving day.
Do I Pay Before or After?
While some companies may want a down payment, deposit, or any other portion of moving costs up front, On the Move does not require either of these payments. Instead, we like to complete the job and provide our high-quality service first, before you ever swipe your card or cut a check.
Does Long Distance vs Local Relocation Make a Difference?
Yes, but only slightly. During a local move, we accept cash, check, or credit card upon delivery at your destination. Those who wish to pay by credit card will need to provide us with the card information to have on file but we’ll only run it once the move has been completed.
For long-distance and interstate moves, we accept cash and credit card but ask all checks to be certified. For a credit card payment, the card is due the day before the big move and is then charged and returned only after the move is done.
